Mission

With the blessing of His Eminence, Archbishop Peter, St. Jonah Camp serves as a vital ministry of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America (ROCOR) to foster spiritual growth and lasting fellowship among Orthodox youth. Organized by clergy and laity from several southern parishes, the camp blends spiritual instruction with practical life skills. The camp is equally committed to the physical well-being of its participants, offering a variety of outdoor activities and sports while providing nutritious meals and teaching healthy habits through engaging programs such as cooking contests, first aid, and fire safety workshops. While primarily designed to bring together teenagers from ROCOR parishes, the camp remains open to everyone interested in attending an Orthodox camp.
