Summer Camp Arrival/Departure

Check-In & Arrival Details

  • Check-In: Monday, June 8, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Location: Camp Copass, 8200 E. McKinney street, Denton, TX 76208

Arrival Instructions:

1-2:00 PM: Please arrive to Camp Copass between 1-2 pm. You can drive directly to Joy Cabin without going to the main office. See CAMP MAP to locate Joy cabin. Park by the cabin and go in to check in. Campers will check in with their designated Group Counselors. Once checked in, counselors will help campers select a bunk bed and show around.

2:00 PM: Lunch will be served, followed by the Campers Orientation and Blessing of the waters.

4-5 PM: Pool or rest

5: 00 PM: Group Games

Check-Out and Departure:

  • Saturday, June 13 @ 11:00 AM. Please notify a camp volunteer before leaving the grounds with your child. If your child is using parish transportation instead of personal pickup, you need to coordinate directly with your specific parish leaders to confirm all arrival and departure schedules.

Packing List

  • Twin-size bedding and pillow+pillowcase: The only thing provided is a mattress.
  • Toiletries, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Soap, Toothbrush & Toothpaste Deodorant, Hairbrush/Comb 
  • Shower Towel & Pool Towel 
  • Reusable water bottle if you’d like, but we will be providing bottled water.
  • Several changes of everyday clothes for daily activities, including sports and crafts. No tee shirts with advertisement for beer, liquor, drugs, or sexual innuendo, or anything deemed inappropriate by staff, no low cut tops.
  • Undergarments and socks
  • Sleepwear
  • Laundry bag
  • One or two set of clothes appropriate for church service – we will have Daily Vespers and one Liturgy Thursday morning (Dress shirts and pants for boys, skirts/dresses, scarves for girls)
  • Swimwear for pool and canoes/paddle boats – 2-3 sets, rash guards are really great
  • Sun hat & sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray if you want to use your own bug spray
  • Water shoes or sandals/flip-flops for water activities
  • Rain protection (a poncho or raincoat)
  • Footwear for outdoor activities. We will be playing a lot of sports and games!
  • Prescription medicine if needed (make sure it’s in original bottles). Parents must document all medical needs during registration to ensure camper safety. Request camp nurse administration of medicine explicitly on the registration forms. Detail all child allergies precisely to prevent medical emergencies and guesswork.
  • Prayer book and small icon if you’d like
  • You may want to bring a camera and/or flashlight
  • Money for camp store if you’d like 
  • Things you need for TALENT SHOW, examples may include musical instruments, paint and canvas, a brick for your karate performance and such
  • Cell phones will be collected by cabin counselors and given for a specific need such as to call parents. Parents can call/text Svetlana (281) 220 7599 with questions or if they need to communicate with their child.
