Winter Camp Arrival/Departure

Check-In & Arrival Details

  • Check-In: Friday, February 13th, 2026 anytime from 2:00 PM yo 5PM
  • Location: Camp Mohawk County Park (110 County Rd 193, Alvin, TX 77511)

Arrival Instructions: When you arrive, feel free to bypass the main office and follow the signs directly to the Kickapoo Dormitory. You’re welcome to park right by the dorms to help your camper unload. Please ensure all campers check in with a camp volunteer upon arrival.

5:00 PM: We officially begin with the Blessing of the Waters.

6:00 PM: Dinner will be served. During this time, we will introduce our counselors and go over the camp rules.

Check-Out:

  • Monday, February 16th @ 11:00 AM. Please notify a camp volunteer before you leave with your child.

Packing List

  • Twin-size bedding and pillow+pillowcase: The only thing provided is a twin-size mattress.
  • Toiletries, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Soap, Toothbrush & Toothpaste Deodorant, Hairbrush/Comb 
  • Shower Towel
  • Reusable water bottle if you’d like. 
  • Several changes of everyday clothes for daily activities, including sports and crafts. No tee shirts with advertisement for beer, liquor, drugs, or sexual innuendo, or anything deemed inappropriate by staff, no low cut tops. We will have
  • Undergarments and socks
  • Sleepwear
  • Laundry bag
  • 1-3 sets of clothes appropriate for church service – we will have 3 church services (Panikhida, Vigil and Liturgy). Dress shirts and pants for boys, skirts/dresses, scarves for girls)
  • Sunglasses if you’d like. February might be very sunny here in Houston!
  • Sunscreen if you sensitive to sun, we will spend a lot of time outside.
  • Bug spray if you want to use your own bug spray, but we will have a camp one available.
  • Rain protection (a poncho or raincoat is ideal)
  • Comfortable footwear for outdoor activities! We will have a lot of activities outside, such as trail walks, campfires, survival skills workshop, archery session and scavenger hunt.
  • Flip flops for dorm might be useful
  • Prescription medicine if needed. Original Packaging: All prescription medications must be in their original pharmacy bottles with clear labeling. Notification: Please inform the camp nurse if your camper is bringing any medication. Administration: If you require the camp nurse to administer medication to your child, please notify us in advance or during check-in to coordinate the schedule.
  • Prayer book and small icon if you’d like
  • Small Flashlight is highly recommended
  • You may want to bring a camera
  • Things you need for TALENT SHOW, examples may include musical instruments, paint and canvas, a brick for your karate performance and such
  • Cell phones will be collected by a counselor and given for a specific need such as to call parents. Parents can call/text Svetlana (281) 220 7599 with questions or if they need to communicate with their child.
