Thank you for considering becoming a volunteer for St. Jonah Camp! There are all kinds of different talents you can offer to serve the needs of our campers!
Here are some options of how you can volunteer…

Orthodox clergy
Spiritual guidance, leading prayers and church services, teaching Law of God classes

Cabin counselors
Supporting daily activities according to the camp schedule for the team of 5-6 campers, encouraging good communication, hygiene and tidiness, being first person to answer questions and troubleshoot uneasy situations for campers

Arts and crafts counselors
Planning and managing fine arts and craft activities, for example, dance, painting, drawing, iconography and any type of craft projects that can be completed within one hour

Indoor games and team activities counselors
Organizing ice-breakers, leading team-building games, cabin social time, picnic activities, nominating campers for awards

Sports and water activities counselors
Planning and leading sports activities and games, managing sports equipment

Nurse
Administration of prescription medications, simple first aid, like blisters, scratches and such, collecting allergy info and making sure campers are not exposed to food allergens
07
Cook
Daily meals and snacks planning, shopping during the camp week, cooking or overseeing campers cooking, cooking contest judging, picnic meal planning

Year-round staff
Preparation for the camp, finding camp ground, making activities schedule
